Bell, Brockman Earn MAC Freedom Player of the Week Honors

NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) released its latest Player of the Week awards, and a pair of Arcadia University student-athletes collected weekly honors.

Delaney Bell was named MAC Freedom Player of the Week for women's basketball, while Colin Brockman earned MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week recognition for men's lacrosse.

Bell, a senior from Bensalem, Pennsylvania, guided the Knights to a 2-0 record in the final week of the regular season, helping Arcadia secure the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MAC Freedom Playoffs. The semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday night at Arcadia.

Bell totaled 33 points on the week, beginning with a 12-point, 11-rebound performance on the road at FDU-Florham to record her 11th double-double of the season. She followed that effort by leading all scorers on Senior Day with 21 points while adding nine rebounds.

For the season, Bell is averaging 14.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. She ranks among the top six in the conference in rebounds, assists, and blocks. This marks her third MAC Player of the Week honor this season.

Brockman, a sophomore from North Brunswick, New Jersey, earned his first MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week award after helping the Knights to a 1-1 record.

In a home matchup against Haverford, Brockman won 10-of-15 faceoffs and collected four ground balls. He followed that performance by going 12-of-15 from the faceoff X and scooping up eight ground balls in a 23-5 road victory over Susquehanna.

Brockman currently leads the conference with 17 ground balls and ranks fifth, averaging 5.67 ground balls per game. He also tops the conference with an 81 percent faceoff win percentage.
