QUANTICO, Md. – The Arcadia University men's golf team concluded play at the Sea Gull Invitational, hosted by Salisbury University at Green Hill Country Club on Sunday afternoon. The Knights finished sixth in the 10-team field with a two-day total of 658 (+82), matching their opening-round score of 329 (+41). Green Hill is a par-72 course playing 6,631 yards.
Frankie Sass led Arcadia with a second-round 82 (+10), finishing tied for 10th overall at 17-over for the tournament.
Sass carded a 7-over 43 on the front nine with four pars before improving on the back with a 3-over 39. He recorded five pars and a birdie on the par-5 15th hole to close his round.
Hayden Williamson also shot a 10-over 82 in the second round, finishing tied for 22nd at 22-over overall. He posted a 6-over 42 on the front nine with four pars and a birdie on the par-5 sixth hole. Williamson followed with a 4-over 40 on the back, adding six pars.
Tony Antonelli matched the team's low round with an 82 (+10), finishing tied for 28th at 24-over. He shot a 10-over front nine, recording a par on the fifth hole, before turning in an even-par 36 on the back. Antonelli highlighted his back nine with four pars and three consecutive birdies on holes 14, 15, and 16.
Nicky Antonelli rounded out the team scoring with an 83 (+11), finishing tied for 18th overall at 20-over. He recorded a 44 (+8) on the front nine with four pars and followed with a steady 3-over 39 on the back, including seven consecutive pars.
Justin Madden posted a second-round 90 (+18), which did not factor into the team total. He shot 9-over on both the front and back nines, recording five pars in the round. Madden finished 43rd overall at 31-over.
Salisbury's "B" team claimed the team title at 61-over, followed by Capital at 68-over and Alvernia at 69-over. Salisbury "A" finished fourth at 73-over, while Russell Sage placed fifth at 77-over, just ahead of Arcadia. Capital "B" (87-over), Lycoming (88-over), Alvernia "B" (114-over), and SUNY Cobleskill (158-over) rounded out the field. Salisbury's Ryan Henneman earned medalist honors with a two-day total of 5-over, finishing four strokes ahead of teammate Colton Thomas.
