NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its latest Players of the Week, with three Arcadia University student-athletes earning recognition for their outstanding performances.
For the second consecutive week, Savannah Falk (women's tennis), Aaron Allen (men's tennis), and Colin Brockman (men's lacrosse) each received MAC Freedom Player of the Week honors.
Falk, a senior from Bridgeton, New Jersey, delivered a perfect 6-0 week competing at first singles and first doubles. Against DeSales, she teamed with Leah Hatcher for a 6-3 win at first doubles before securing a 6-2, 6-3 victory at first singles. She followed that performance against Immaculata with a 6-1 doubles win alongside Hatcher and a straight-set singles victory, 6-2, 6-2. Falk closed out the week against King's with another dominant showing, winning first doubles 6-1 and first singles 6-0, 6-2. This marks the fourth time in her career that Falk has earned MAC Freedom Player of the Week honors and her second consecutive selection.
Allen, a junior from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, also earned MAC Freedom Player of the Week for the second straight week after helping the Knights to a 3-0 team record while going 6-0 individually. Against DeSales, Allen paired with Leo Dupont for a 6-3 win at first doubles before earning a 6-1, 6-4 victory at first singles. He continued his strong play against Immaculata, posting a 6-0 doubles win with Dupont and a 6-2, 6-1 singles victory. Allen capped the week against King's with a 6-0 doubles win and a commanding 6-1, 6-0 singles performance. This is the third time in his career that Allen has been named MAC Freedom Player of the Week and his second honor this season.
Brockman, a sophomore from North Brunswick, New Jersey, earned MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Knights to a 2-0 record with conference victories over Misericordia and DeSales. Against Misericordia, Brockman dominated the faceoff X, winning 13-of-17 attempts while collecting 11 ground balls. He followed that performance with another standout effort in a double-overtime win over DeSales, going 14-of-23 at the faceoff X, picking up 11 ground balls, and adding an assist. Brockman currently leads the conference in total ground balls, ground balls per game, faceoffs won, and faceoff percentage, and ranks seventh nationally in faceoff win percentage. This is the third time this season he has earned MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Week honors.
