Rainbow Six Siege Picks up Pair of NECC Victories

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University Rainbow Six Siege team picked up a pair of victories in NECC action to climb up the Challengers Division leaderboard in a critical stretch in the season.

ARCADIA 1, BUTLER 2
Game 1: The Knights started out on Coastline for the first map of the series and started off attacking strong. Finding a few nice rounds and dropping a few close ones, they shifted to defense at a 2-4 disadvantage of rounds. Having lots of trouble finding their footing they ended the map 7-2.

Game 2: After falling down 0-1 in the series, the Knights started off defending on the map Villa and looked much stronger than before. The defensive rounds went smoothly, and the attacking side rounds looked much cleaner from the team. David Cortez and Paul Broccardi lead the Knights in eliminations and brought them a beautiful 7-2 victory over Butler for the map.

Game 3: The series tied in a 1-1 scoreline brought both team to the final map, Kafe Dostoyevsky. The Knights started out on Defense and after some close calls the rounds are tied 3-3. The Knights switch to Attack and find some nice rounds, but end up falling just a bit short at the end of it all. The final score for the map is 7-4 for Butler.

ARCADIA 2, UC DAVIS 1
Game 1: The Knights started out on Coastline for the first map of the series and defended well. Switching to attack they maintained the round lead, but it was close. On the final round before overtime the Knights clutched out a big round win to take the first map 7 - 5 over UC Davis.

Game 2: Rising up 1-0 in the series, the Knights went to UC Davis' map choice of Oregon and it proved to be challenging. UC Davis looked comfortable on the map and proved to show dominance over the Knights as the took the map 2 win with a staggering 7 - 2 lead in the round count.

Game 3: A tied 1-1 series is a much too familiar sight for the Knights, but this time they were on their own map choice of Villa. Arcadia had a stellar performance off of some beautiful aim from Paul Broccardi and an Ace from Joshua Fisher to not drop a single round on defense. Switching to attack it only took 3 rounds for the Knights to finish of the series with a 7-2 map win over UC Davis.

ARCADIA 2, NORTHERN ESSEX 0
Game 1: The Knights started out very strong on Kafe for the first map of the series and defended to perfection. Without dropping a single round, the moved on to attack and quickly finished out the map. The Knights had a decisive 7-1 map win over Northern Essex heading into map 2.

Game 2: Starting 1-0 in the series, the Knights went to back to good old Coastline to try and end the best of three here. The Knights looked comfortable on the map and came up clutch as the took the advantage in rounds defending. After a few nice attacking rounds, Arcadia picks up the 2-0 victory over Northern Essex with a round total of 7-3.

The Knights rise to 4-2 on the Challengers Leaderboard of the NECC and plan on rising from here.
