Esports Goes 4-1 as Regular Season Continues

GLENSIDE - The Arcadia University Esports programs went 4-1 last week as it continued through regular season play.

SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE

The Arcadia University Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team faced off with Waynesburg last week, taking a 2-1 win. In game one, Zion Foy got the Knights off to an early lead by taking five stocks for a 3-0 win. In game two, Waynesburg's Banjo took seven stocks as the Yellow Jackets captured the game 2-0. In game three, Arcadia trailed 9-6 before Zydeek Perez tok seven stocks and Karah Daniels closed out Waynesburg's captain to give the Knights the win.

VALORANT

The Arcadia University Valorant program matched up with York College of Pennsylvania, winning 2-1. The series opened on Bind, with Kat Gibson earning 25 kills on Jett to give the Knights the early lead. In game two on Sunset, Arcadia fell 13-9. In a winner take all game three on Lotus, the Knights won a nail-biter as Courtney McKenna delivered a clutch ace in overtime swing the momentum to Arcadia en route to a 15-13 win and match victory.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

The Arcadia University League of Legends team took on Saint Mary's University, grabbing a 2-1 win. In game one, James Donnici's Kayn carried the game with a quick and clinical performance to give the Knights an early lead. In game two, Saint Mary's responded with a tightly contested match that they won despite early pressure from Arcadia. In a deciding game three, Silas Lashbrook stepped up with his Varus, commanding play and helping the team take control of the map to secure the victory.

OVERWATCH

The Arcadia University Overwatch team faced Cal State Long Beach, falling 3-2. The Knights started out strong, taking the first two games in dominant fashion on Samoa and Gibraltar. Cal State found new life in game three, turning the tide and completing the reverse sweep.

ROCKET LEAGUE

The Arcadia University Rocket League team took on Queen's University, securing a 4-0 sweep. From kickoff to final goal, the Knights controlled the tempo with sharp mechanics, crisp rotations, and relentless pressure.
