2020-21 Community Service Activities to Date

April 5-11
Arcadia SAAC - NCAA Division III Week Fundraisers & Events - 150 total hours
Arcadia SAAC organized several events throughout NCAA Division III Week, including: raising $891 for the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation, raising $552 for cancer reasearch during the department's annual Bandana Day, and hosting a ZUMBA class for the Glenside Rotary Special Athletes.

April 1
Men's and Women's Tennis - Racquet Collection and Net Donation - 15 Participants - 22 total hours
The men's and women's tennis teams collected gently used racquets to be restrung and two old tennis nets to donate to local park programs to encourage youth participation in tennis in underfunded areas.

March 23
Multiple Teams - Dome Breakdown - 100 total hours
Members of the above teams assisted in breaking down the dome in preparation for the spring.

March 22
Men's and Women's Tennis - Weiss Courts Windscreen Installation - 16 Participants - 4.5 hours - 72 total hours
Members of the men's and women's tennis teams installed the windscreens at the Weiss Courts ahead of the start of the spring season.

March 9
Baseball - DeSales Baseball Fundraiser - 42 Participants - 2 hours - 84 total hours
Members of the baseball team raised to money to wear DeSales hats for their regular season series honoring those that were lost in the tragedy at DeSales weeks prior.

February 2
Men's Soccer - Shoveling Snow in the Community - 9 Participants - 1 Hour - 9 total hours
Members of the Arcadia men's soccer program assisted community members with shoveling snow outside of their homes.

December 21
Arcadia SAAC - Holiday Drive - 50 total hours
Arcadia SAAC's fundraising campaign raised $3,088.26 to go towards holiday gifts for USPS Operation Santa and supplies for A Woman's Place - Bucks County. Read the full story here.

Men's and Women's Tennis - Community Kids Book Drive & STEM Games Donation - 16 Participants - 30 total hours
Members of the men's and women's tennis program collected and donated books, DVDs, and STEM games for the Philadelphia CSS Out of School Time program.

November 24
Arcadia SAAC - Thanksgiving Drive - 50 total hours
Arcadia SAAC's fundraising campaign raised $2,125 to provide Thanksgiving meals for 43 families through Helping Hands in the Northeast. Read the full story here.

Men's Lacrosse - Headstrong Foundation Mustache Madness - 46 Participants - 3 Hours - 138 total hours
The Arcadia men's lacrosse program participated in a month-long cancer awareness fundraiser through the Headstrong Foundation and finished 18th nationally among Division I, II, and III programs by raising $8,604.

October 29
Arcadia SAAC - NCAA Inclusion Week 5K - 50 total hours
Arcadia SAAC organized an virtual 5k during NCAA Inclusion Week.

October 26
Arcadia SAAC - UKnight for the Front Line Campaign - 50 total hours
Arcadia SAAC's fundraising campaign raised $1,338 from over 300 donors for front line workers at Abington Memorial Hospital, Temple University Hospital, and Doylestown Hospital. Read the full story here.
